This was the initial sketchup we did to show stickers on a notebook. We liked the interface so much we used this as the basis of the splash page. You can also see, down the bottom, what was our original design of the Love Crush icon featuring a crushing fish with a hear around it. It seemed too negative and the idea was discarded.
Also note the intial text for the app was meant to be a little graffiti looking with a sticker background. We tried doing this as well, but it didn't fit with the other stickers on the page. We're much happier with the final outcome.
A 2nd mockup of the icon, featuring two people and a flower. The type of eyes proved too small to see in the icon and the image was too noisy.
The final sketches we did for the "stickers" on the start page. The image was scanned, imported into Illustrator and retouched and coloured. Notice the bear in the suit down the bottom was initially not scanned properly into Illustrator (only his face and no body) which is why the final product only has his head. You can spot him in the Credits page. His sunnies colours are a homage to the old apple colours.
Lucha Libre is always something fun and colourful. You can see test masks we drew for it. There were a couple more but that sheet of paper is lost unfortunately.
